Google හි නම ව්‍යුත්පන්න(derived) වී ඇත්තේ Googol අංකයෙන් වන අතර එය අංක 1 ට සමාන වන අතර ඉන් පසුව 0 x100 (1 x 10 ^ 100) වේ. Sergey Brin සහ Larry Page සමාගම Google.Inc(Incorporated) ලෙස නැවත නම් කිරීමට පෙර එහි මුල් නම Backrub ය.
Google LLC යනු ඇමරිකානු බහුජාතික තාක්‍ෂණ සමාගමකි.

Google inc කියන්නෙ Google search engine එකේ developer.. මේකෙන් BackRub කියලා search engine හදලා තියෙනවා.. 1996 විතර ඉතිං ඒ search engine එකට back links analyze කරන්න පුළුවන් නිසා ඒක web site වලට ඇඩ් කරන්න හිතන්න ඇති… ඒ විදිහට 1998දි ඒ සමාගම develop වෙලා Yahoo! search engine එකත් හදලා තියෙනවා….
